Donors don't give to a spreadsheet. They give to momentum — a map filling in, a leaderboard climbing, a goal reaching at 100%. — what a modern fundraising event actually feels like
The donor journey

Five steps to a full campaign.

From pledge forms in email threads to a single live experience — here's how WayHopper runs mission-driven events.

PLEDGE

Register & fundraise

Participants join teams, set personal goals, and share pledge links — peer-to-peer pages built into the event.

MAP

Route & sponsor stops

Poker-run bars, or scavenger checkpoints — each stop can carry a sponsor tier.

CHECK

GPS check-ins

Prove participants hit sponsor locations. Earn badges and leaderboard points at every stop.

LIVE

Leaderboard & goal

Team rankings and updates in real time on web and app.

REPORT

Close & thank donors

Export participation, per-stop traffic, and totals for board reports and sponsor renewals.

The old way vs. WayHopper

Stop chasing pledge spreadsheets.

The manual way

Event day, nobody knows the score.

  • Sponsor stops on a PDF map — no check-in proof
  • Donors can't see live progress toward the goal
  • Teams texting "did we hit $50K yet?" all afternoon
  • No data on which sponsor stop drove the most traffic
  • Separate tools for registration, map, and donations
The WayHopper way

One campaign. One map. One live goal.

  • Sponsor-tier stops with GPS check-ins and per-stop analytics
  • Public leaderboard — top teams and individual fundraisers
  • Participants and sponsors watch momentum on event day
  • Per-stop analytics for sponsor renewal conversations
  • Registration, map, scoring, and exports in one OS

FAQ

Fundraising questions.

More in our help center, or talk to an organizer who's run a charity route event.

Does WayHopper process donations?

WayHopper collects ticket and registration payments through Stripe—maps, check-ins, leaderboards, and results on the same platform. Peer-to-peer pledge drives outside ticket sales stay in your existing fundraising tools; WayHopper focuses on the live route experience.

Can we run a walk-a-thon and a poker run under one campaign?

Yes. Run them as separate events (or a multi-leg poker parent with legs) under one organizer account—copy routes, reuse your location library, and share public pages with consistent branding. Each event has its own ticket sales and results.

How do teams and leaderboards work?

Use scavenger leaderboards or poker rankings depending on the event type you chose. Share the public event page so teams can join, check in, and see standings as the day runs.

Can we reuse last year’s charity ride?

Yes—copy the event, keep your location library, and reconnect Stripe Connect for paid tickets. Game operators can reuse game templates for ticketed repeats.

Can sponsors see activity at their stop?

Organizers can monitor check-ins and share results or photo galleries after the event—useful for renewal conversations without inventing a separate sponsor-ROI suite.

How do ticket payouts work?

For participant-paid events, organizers connect Stripe Connect Express. WayHopper collects ticket payments, then transfers the organizer share after the event under platform payout rules. Exact platform fees are on Pricing—not a “0% take” promise here.
