Tourism Event Platform for Trails and Visitor Experiences
Build interactive trails, visitor passports, and festival tie-ins — with maps, QR + GPS check-in, and analytics your board, hotel partners, and grant funders want to see.
The infrastructure behind modern visitor programs.
Multilingual visitor app
English, Spanish, French, and more — visitors choose their language at registration. No separate builds per market.
Partner & hotel dashboards
Each attraction, restaurant, and hotel partner sees their own check-in counts, peak hours, and visitor origin breakdown.
Grant-ready impact reports
Export visit counts, dwell time estimates, and geographic heatmaps formatted for state tourism grants and county commissioners.
Season & festival templates
Clone last year's summer passport or fall foliage trail. Swap partners, update dates, publish — one team runs the whole destination calendar.
Offline check-ins supported
The WayHopper app supports offline check-ins at trailheads and rural attractions—visitors take a photo when signal drops, then finish once they’re back online.
Sponsor & TID packages
Title destination sponsor, stop-level partners, hotel packages — tiered sponsorship with impression and redemption data for renewal pitches.
DMO director questions.
More in our help center, or talk to a tourism team already on WayHopper.
How is this different from a static visitor guide or PDF map?
WayHopper is interactive—visitors check in with QR + GPS, collect progress, and share photos. You monitor check-ins and share results or galleries from the organizer portal—not passive PDF download counts.
Can we run free trails and ticketed experiences on the same account?
Yes. Many DMOs run a free discovery trail year-round and ticketed festival weekends or premium experiences. One dashboard, separate event configs.
Do visitors need to download an app?
For day-of QR + GPS check-in, yes—the iOS/Android WayHopper app is the home for play. Visitors can still browse trails and buy tickets on the web.
Can hotel and attraction partners manage their own stops?
Yes—on supported open events, invite partners through the Location Entry Portal to add stops under your limits and approvals.
What about rural areas with spotty cell service?
The WayHopper app supports offline check-ins when signal drops—take a photo at the checkpoint, keep going, and finish once back online. Pair that with printed QR signage at trailheads.
Will our trail appear on the WayHopper events directory?
Published public events can appear on the marketing site’s event directory, filterable by type and location—alongside embeddable maps and public event pages you share directly.
WayHopper works across multiple event segments.
Different audiences, same operating system — clubs, chambers, retail districts, tourism boards, schools, nonprofits, agencies, and community organizers.
Your next visitor season starts with one trail.
