The parking lot at A Biker’s Garage smells like coffee, bacon, and hot metal before nine on a Saturday — which, if you’ve ever tried to run a poker run, is exactly the smell you want. On May 16, 2026, forty-six riders gathered for the Rev-N-Ride Mayhem Poker Run: a 120-mile loop through Arkansas and Missouri backroads, five digital card stops, and a 4:00 PM showdown back where we started. No chaos. Just May-hem — the good kind.
This is the first field report in The Journal, our magazine for organizers and riders who’d rather be on the road than in a spreadsheet. If you’ve never joined a WayHopper poker run, here’s what one actually feels like — and why we built the app the way we did.
§ 01Rev-N-Ride and the May-hem idea
The Rev-N-Ride Series is a string of motorcycle events hosted by WayHopper and A Biker’s Garage (ABG) in northwest Arkansas. The May edition leaned into the pun: May-hem, not mayhem. The brief on the event page was clear — pristine bike or held together by grit and zip ties, you’re welcome. Twisty pavement, small groups, ride your own ride.
Registration ran through the WayHopper app at $18.09 (breakfast included). Riders could buy up to three extra cards for $6.77 each — because in poker runs, more cards mean more chances at glory… or at the Lucky Loser prize.
Whether your bike is a pristine masterpiece or held together by grit and good intentions, this ride is for you.

§ 02Poker runs, in plain English
New to the format? A poker run is part ride, part scavenger hunt, part friendly gamble. You visit a series of checkpoints — usually five — and draw a playing card at each mandatory stop. At the finish, the best five-card poker hand wins. The worst hand often wins something too, because motorcycle people have a sense of humor about losing.
On WayHopper, each stop is a check-in location in the app. Tap when you arrive, get your card, see the route on the map, and watch the leaderboard update. Organizers see who’s checked in without chasing paper tallies. Riders keep their eyes on the road instead of a clipboard.

§ 03The route: 120 miles, five cards
The Mayhem route was a full day loop — roughly 120 miles of Ozarks and Missouri border country, with six mapped locations (five dealt cards plus a routing-only waypoint):
- Card 1 — A Biker’s Garage · Breakfast, registration, and kickstands up between 10:00–11:00 AM.
- Card 2 — Elkhorn Tavern · Pea Ridge, AR · Civil War history along scenic AR-62.
- Card 3 — Trojan PQ Mart · Winslow, MO · Small-town stop on the Missouri side.
- Card 4 — Honeypops Bar & Grill · Anderson, MO · Midday stretch and a chance to compare hands.
- Card 5 — Can Do Hardware · Gravette, AR · Last card before the run for home.
- Finish — A Biker’s Garage · Showdown at 4:00 PM. Music, prizes, and the inevitable “What the heck… a 2 of Hearts?!”
